Last week, 3 Ironworker veterans had the honor of placing a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
They competed in the apprenticeship competition this past September, and the International invited them to come to Washington, DC to participate in the ceremony.
The 3 veterans are John Conyers (Local 24, Denver, CO), Russ Feivou (Local 167, Memphis, TN), and Tyler Haanpaa (Local 10, Kansas City, MO). Max Svader of Local 416, Los Angeles, CA was also invited, but was unable to attend. Lee Worley, Executive Director of Apprenticeship and Training, participated in the ceremony in Max’s stead.
Following is a link to a video of the ceremony.
